Whiz-bang pop-up chef Jarrett Stieber is teaming up with the Sound Table, this time with food, music, and cocktails inspired by the 1960s. Head over to the Sound Table tomorrow, Tues., Sept. 16, for a soiree that could very well remind you of “the parties your parents went to” back in the day.

Expect updated takes on the cheesy dishes of the era with seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms like Riverview Farms, Crystal Organics, Love is Love at Gaia Gardens, and Woodland Gardens. All menu items will be $5 served on small plates, cocktail party-style.

Count on Stieber’s playful versions of ambrosia salad, crudités, finger sandwiches, Swedish meatballs, and...what’s that? Will there be Spam, you ask? We think there will be Spam.

Barman Navarro Carr will be crafting cocktails inspired by the food and music selections. The iconic cocktails of the ’60s is a skill Carr has mastered and riffs on these to match the food and tunes will be something to look forward to. A play on the classic Harvey Wallbanger is in the works called the Lester Bangs, and will serve as a tribute to the famed Rolling Stones journalist of the era. Should you dress accordingly? It could be fun. Owner/DJ Karl Injex will set the mood with rock music from the ’60s to the late ’70s.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. and go until the food runs out. No tickets or reservations required.
