The inaugural “Taste Of Patchwerk” will feature food from three local Atlanta Music Industries - Bonecrusher, Big Zak, and Chris McGregor.

Where Bach meets the Negro Spiritual

Friendship Baptist Church - 80 Walnut St. S.W., Atlanta, GA 30314 Free. 7 p.m.

The Clark Atlanta University Philharmonic Society and University Choir will put side by side the great choral work of J.S. Bach “Magnificat” - first performed in the 1723 - with numerous Negro spirituals - that could have been “composed” during the same period. The concert will be accompanied by orchestra and augmented with five spectacularly gifted solo artists: Jazmin Salaberrios, soprano, Kierra Spearman Hogan, soprano, Daveda Browne, mezzo, Ravon Middlebrooks, tenor, and bass-baritone Christian Simmons.
