Various Locations July 31, 2017 - Aug. 31, 2017 Atlanta Black Restaurant Week BRW is an organized event honoring the black culinary industry and seeking to stimulate growth of African American owned culinary businesses and farms. Participating restaurants host events and offer dining specials for two weeks, including Puffs & Petals, Cala Bar & Grill, Pearl Restaurant & Lounge, Baltimore Crab & Seafood, The Spice House, Joffrey’s, Sweet Potato Cafe, Old Lady Gang, Sweet Auburn Seafood, Soul Vegetarian and more. Ray’s Restaurants Aug. 1, 2017, Ray’s Lobsterfest Ray’s in the City, Ray’s on the River and Ray’s at Killer Creek are offering 1.25-3 pound whole lobsters served with side salad, Yukon gold whipped potatoes or vegetable du jour. Details

Negril Village Aug. 1, 2017, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Educating a New Breed of Restaurants: Growing the Restaurant Industry Atlanta Black Restaurant Week will host a panel of restaurant industry and business leaders to offer advice on ways to get started in the industry, raise capital and manage a successful business operation. Chipotle Aug. 5, 2017, 10:45 a.m.-10 p.m. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Benefit Half of all sale proceeds at Atlanta locations will support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that provides one-to-one mentoring relationships to at-risk youth. Customers have to tell their cashier that they want to participate in the benefit. Details

/’trĒō/ Aug. 5, 2017, 6-10 p.m. /’trĒō/ popup event New popup restaurant /’trĒō/ will open with the first of a recurring monthly series of art galas and live music dinner events which will showcase different artists, musicians and chefs. This event will feature the band Unrestricted, accompanied by a three-course fine dining meal from artBites. Before the main event will be a cocktail art gala featuring works from local artist Annie Hall. Tickets can be purchased for just the gala, just the show, or as a package. Details

Fuji Hana Sushi Bar & Grill Aug. 6, 2017, 5-10 p.m Full Moon Fundraising Party A portion of the proceeds from this new series of dinners will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Kennesaw facility, which is currently under construction. For the first dinner on the restaurant’s new patio, all micro makimono sushi rolls will be priced at $7, with a choice of cucumber, spicy crab, seaweed or garden side salad.
