Holeman and Finch Public House Aug. 19, 2017 5 p.m.-2 a.m. The Gypsy Chef Series Guest chef Zeb Stevenson from Watershed on Peachtree is collaborating with H+F chef Spencer Gomez to create a menu of special dishes and cocktail pairings. Dishes will include poached shrimp with savory rice pudding, pastured chicken drumstick with mole negro and sweet pimento with smoked trout brandade. Details
Ray’s at Killer Creek Aug. 19, 2017, 1-3 p.m. Big Green Egg-Cellent Grilling Demo This grilling demonstration and tasting menu by executive chef Mike Fuller includes glazed pork belly, smoked shrimp steamed buns, Wagyu brisket with mac and cheese and grilled banana bread. The Foundry at Puritan Mill Aug. 20, 2017, 2-7 p.m. Southern Wing Showdown Wing lovers, unite! The second Southern Wing Showdown festival features all-you-can-eat Springer Mountain Farms chicken wings prepared by 25 chefs from all over the South. Bluegrass band Battlefield Collective will be performing during the festival. Proceeds support Second Helpings Atlanta, a nonprofit hunger and food waste reduction benefit and Open Hand, a chronic disease management organization. Details
Taqueria del Sol Aug. 20, 2017, 4-8 p.m. Foxeria del Sol’s Hatch Chile Fest Taqueria del Sol and Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q are collaborating on a special menu to celebrate the arrival of the annual shipment of Hatch Chiles from New Mexico. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the festival benefit Hogs for the Cause, a nonprofit organization that funds pediatric brain cancer outreach services. Details
