Sixty-four rare and limited rotating beers on tap and housemade soft pretzels have landed in Alpharetta. Hop Citybs Barleygarden Kitchen + Craft Bar opened this week and Avalon. This is the second concept from Kraig Torres. The 200-square-foot, two-story space includes a dog friendly patio and a meaty menu by the Spotted Trotterbs Kevin Ouzts.

A new fast casual Mediterranean restaurant is coming to Sandy Springs next month. Shami Kitchen (8363 Roswell Road), a fast casual Mediterranean concept from Abe Malla, founder and CEO of Westside Market, opens in Sandy Springs next month. Guests can customize wraps and bowls with falafel, schawarma and signature fries.

There is a new Chinese restaurant coming to Oakhurst this spring from the Taiyo Ramen/Suzy Siubs Baos duo, Michael Lo and George Yu. Double Dragon takes over the former Saba space (350 Mead Road). In a release the team said, bDouble Dragon will be our homage to classic American Chinese food as we remember it during its glory days in the b80s.b Menu items include General Tsobs chicken, Mongolian beef, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. Tiki drinks and craft beers are also expected.

Nonprofit The Farmer Fund has adopted Crop Mob Atlanta, the organization that matches community volunteers with small farms. Pine Street Marketbs Rusty Bowers will lead the initiative with Cory Mosser of Natural Born Tillers. Their first event is Sun., April 23 at Woodland Gardens. Following farm work, volunteers will be treated to a meal donated by chef Peter Dale of the National in Athens.

From April 16-23, Whiskey Blue in the W Atlanta celebrates Earth Day with a tap takeover by eco-friendly Mother Earth Brewing. Their full lineup will be on draft, and $1 from each draft sold will be donated to Trees Atlanta.

To kick off patio season, Two Urban Licks (820 Ralph D. McGill Blvd.) is having a patio party with Creature Comforts. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., April 15, chef Michael Bertozzi hosts an oyster roast with barbecue, live music and newly released Creature Comforts beers.

Mobile coffee trike Bean in the Borough opens its first coffee kiosk at Cobb Galleria on April 14. It is conveniently located across the pedestrian bridge from the new Braves stadium.
