American Indiot is Anish Shah’s hilarious look at what it means to grow up Indian in the US. From Moms who are very comfortable threatening bodily harm to Dads who would prefer that your first date coincides with your wedding date, growing up Indian has it’s own unique and quirky challenges. This show celebrates all that it means to be a Desi kid...and an inevitable disappointment to your parents. And who better to explain that than a guy who spent his Dad’s money on a Yale education and then became a comedian?

Anish has performed in over 20 countries, taped 2 comedy specials, and told jokes at more than 50 universities, such as Harvard, Berkeley, and Northwestern. He also just completed a comedy tour of India and has written for CBS.
