From the venue:

Some say good will come, it just takes time. Well, Rust is certainly the poster band for that! In 2007, Sean Moran, the singer and rhythm guitar player was searching for a mandolin player and he found Craig Humphrey, a mandolin and guitar player, all the way down in Sharpsburg, Georgia. They began to write and play some coffee houses all the while searching for an accordion player. A mutual friend introduced them to Allen Peterson who not only played accordion, but also played fiddle. Jackpot! They had also been looking for a fiddle player so the shape began to form.

The trio played with several bass players and drummers but they were not the right fit. They continued to play acoustic shows around Georgia while still looking for a rhythm section. Rust was invited to play a festival in Little Five Points in early 2014 and there they met Marty Brotzge Jr, a bass player from Ohio. They got together to jam and it just felt right. The search for a drummer continued and in the summer of 2014, they met Steve Lingo who just happens to live in Sharpsburg Georgia near Craig. Finally the jigsaw was complete.

Currently Rust is booking the festival circuit & clubs around the south. They were recently in the studio recording with jeff bakos at his studio in little five points. They plan on more recording in 2015 to compile a full cd release. This is Americana music – country, blues, folk, old time and a little bit of rock and roll- that will make you move, make you shake your head, make you want to hear another tune. Just ask them, I’m sure they would love to play one more...
